Perspective

When it comes to desktop wallpapers, most of us just put an image we like and leave it there forever, mostly because we can't be bothered to go into the settings every now and then to change it. If you want to keep your desktop fresh, you will need Perspective, which automatically switches your wallpapers, according to your personal preferences. You can give it one or more image collections, tell it how often it should switch between them, how to display it and much more.

Perspective is free to try for thirty days, without any functionality restrictions. You can use it on any modern system, including Windows 10, without having to install any prerequisite tools or services. The application works straight out of the box, and it doesn't use a significant amount of resources.

The software provides you with a wide range of options, which give you the possibility of setting up anything, from a 12-hour wallpaper change to a slideshow with a few seconds between slides. Additionally, you can set the application to use landscape images, portraits or both, if you've targeted a folder with mixed content. Furthermore, you can make various display settings for portraits and landscapes separately. You may decide to make the images show up in the center of the screen or other parts, scale it, make it transparent, add glass reflections and more.

If you have multiple image folders on your hard drive, you can add all of them on the application's user interface. What's more, the software displays two lists, for imported folders and the ones from which it retrieves images to place on your desktop. It takes only a few clicks to manage image folders, on the upper half of the interface, and you can tweak the slideshow options just as easily on the lower half.

With your photo folders selected and your settings made, you only need to click a button, on the lower edge of the screen, and the software will take it from there. You can ignore the wallpaper as always, only now you can have something new to ignore every few hours, minutes or seconds.
